How would i change a segments texture. I made a fancy .dds in GIMP and i'm ready to slap it on a premade segment!

I usually copy all the segment parts to a temp work folder then replace the texture and then open the .fps file in notepad and change the texture part to reflect the new texture.

and then rename it

You can open the .fps file in notepad? Face palm X 10. Oh and what's a .bak? I see it on some segments with the normal .fps

here's a segment .fps

so you can see what to change

and you need a 64x64 bmp with the same name as the .fps

the .bak files aren't needed
