Hi, i wanted to show you a thing that i've made during this weekend, i've used one of the shaders coded by Uzi Idiot on X10 characters, and the result looks awesome !

Also, I can't give them away since it's illegal to redistribute the textures ( even if i made the illumination maps by myself ).

Excuse my grammar errors, I'm French.

This is looking awesome dude!

I dont get it why they don't integrate the X10 media into X9 with an update, it would be very bad if these models would be lost since X10 got discontinued.

You're right, it would be a real waste of work if those models were lost forever.

My favourites are the Juggernaut, The Magnason and the Raknos, i love how the shader makes them more impressive.

Wow, that looks really cool!

I too agree that the X10 media should be available for X9. They are very impressive.

I really want those characters, I think they should be included with x9, at least in a newer beta!

For the ones who are interested to replicate those stunning graphics, here's the name of the shader i've used to give them a second youth

Lambert_Subsurface illum_Fresnel_Hemisphere_Shadow_V1.0.fx

I've used the default diffuse, normal and specular maps, only the illumination maps are custom made.

I don't know for you, but I think that with this shader, we are very close ( if not at the same level ) to current gen games like FEAR, Resident Evil and Unreal Engine-based games

I could be wrong I think you meant x9.lol but yes after my problems with fpsx10. decided to move my scifi game over to fpscx9. so now im doing the whole game all over.should be release summer of 2013. bond1 shaders looks so much better than the fpscx10 shader.giving the skin texture that non plastic look.

more than what meets the eye

Yes, that's what I think too, but I believe you were responding to;

Which was a respond to
Quote: "I moved these guys into X10 before"

So what PAIN was talking about was x9.

Would you happen to know if the shader that comes in the pack for static entities works, or does it require some tweaking?

i think if the x10 media to be put into x9 they will do it as a model pack you PAY FOR, why would you have them for free?

an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of game creation!!!

Norion, thanks, I'm not very present these days since i'm out of idea, something crazy, i can't finish a map anymore...

Uzi Idiot made this shader for bone-weighted characters, like bipedal or quadrupedal ones.

Science Boy,
I don't know, i think they should release with an update like they did it for the weapons, but selling them on the tgc store would be nice tho'.

@ Relmayer

I have the same problem. I don't know about you, but I find it very frustrating. However, I think you would be surprised what you can create if you put enough time and patience in it.

Good luck,

- Martin.

Oh, so Static Objects have to have bones on them to have the entity shader work on them? Hmm...
