Does anyone know if there has been a dbpro version written for blowfish or twofish encryption?

not sure wich encryption you talking about, but if u looking for text encryption with custom password, then you should try the Goga's String Plugin

I know this doesn't answer your question as such but here is a link to the VisualBasic 6 version.

It shouldn't be too complicated to do a conversion.

On a side note, whatever you do, don't just use a DLL wrapper around a C version. It would be very easy to hack\intercept the DLL calls and capture the raw data before\after the encryption.

Thanks for the replies. I am looking to use it as a catch-all security measure for local data and transmitted data. I know there are other encryptions for dbpro but i havent seen any based on a published inter-operative protocol which has known strengths and weaknesses and gets tested regularly. I also was wanting to use it as a function for scalability and direct control/modding reasons rather than as a plugin dll. Blowfish and two-fish are publically known and documented encryption algorithms but i dont have a whole lot of free time or enough in depth knowledge to do a conversion without some headaches (possibly big ones :\ )... but i might give it a go
