So I'm using PERFORM CHECKLIST FOR CONTROL DEVICES
but it's not recognizing a second keyboard plugged in.

If I open NotePad or.. anything else.. the keyboard works fine.
It's a HID device... how do I specify that device in DBP?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure windows doesn't discern between multiple keyboards. If you have 2, I think it'll just treat them like they're the same device.

HID is just Human Interface Device, so that's keyboards and mice. Without special/custom drivers, I don't think what you want is possible.

Blobby 101 is correct.

I investigated this a few years back for a team based project (many keyboards connected to one pc).

It can't be done on Windows unless you write a custom keyboard driver.

If you notice, pressing CAPS LOCK on one, reflects across all the keyboards, yup a custom driver or system is required here...

A cheaper control option would be 4 XBOX joypads, this is fully already supported in DBP...

Unless of course you wish to multi-type but why would you? [word puzzles aside]

Why would you use two keyboards on one computer?

If you wanted extra buttons to automate certain processes, you could use Joypads or MIDI Keyboards or MIDI controllers.

I gave an example already...
