I've been fixing a bug that caused an occasional stutter in frame rate on Windows Vista and Windows 7, but to do so I had to load a DLL specific to Vista and above. I've attempt to make AppGameKit detect XP and fall back to not using this DLL but I don't have a machine to test it on. Could anyone running Windows XP run the attached demo to check that a) it runs, and b) it has a frame rate around 60fps?

Hmmm, just getting a pastel blue screen, with the mouse resetting to the centre. The machine I'm using isn't great, but it does run AppGameKit and DBPro stuff. I can check tonight on my main PC, dual booting Win7 and XP.

When I try to compile with the 108 beta in XP, I get a KERNAL32.DLL error, works fine on Win7.

Anyway, if you need more direct testing just drop me an email, I'd be happy to help get the new version with 3D commands working in XP.

I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more memes.

I get a steady 61 FPS... Never dropped below 60... This is on Windows XP Pro SP 3.

Thanks for the tests everyone, I'll count that as a success and the fix will be in the next version.

sorry, my graphic card does not support the OpenGL version used by the application, and I cannot update the driver.

Same here for my XP pc. It's disappointing that AppGameKit doesn't support these graphics cards now.

Can you list the cards that are not supported. There is a possibility of doing a DirectX 9 path for Intel integrated graphics as they won't update their drivers to OpenGL 2, but some of them do support DirectX 9.

It would be great if that could be done - nice one Paul.

wouldt it be easier to use direct x on all windows devices.

Then do you only nead to check if the agk (app) is running on windows.(and use open gl for browser games on windows)

Yes, if we did this then all Windows devices would use the DirectX path.
