some will say no, some will say yes. I guess all I can say is try it and see which side you fall on.

make sure you have the following:

Latest DBP Update
Latest DBP IDE Update
Latest DirectX Runtime version 9.0b
Latest Video Drivers for your video card

start there.

Well, let's put it this way: 3ds. File format is no longer supported. The support will be added later... or so they say.
But this means that you should stick to .x files only. it also means that while most 3ds. files might not work, some might.

The latest patch is supposed to load 3ds files, but just locks my dbp programs up. Don't know if anyone else experience this problem. I just carefully convert them to .x format with deep exploration.

luckily I haven't had this problem and can load 3ds directly with no problems.

I can't load 3ds models. They just cause program to bomb out.

Allways works for me, Perhaps they did't do complete 3ds support and some variations don't load.

All the 3ds files I have made in wings3d load.

dbpro : p166mmx @ 233 : 256mb : sb 128pci : sis onboard

For me, some 3DS files load, some don't.
