As the title says.
Has anyone had any luck using linking the windows sensors api into a tier 2 template.
I am at a brick wall with it so far.
Was hoping to be able to implement this rather than waiting for v108 with sensor support..

no success here too

with no eta for sensors commands and no working t2 108 windows template its a bit risky to commit to the intel contest

Well with 6 months as the agreement with the hardware, it is a fair gamble. Just may not get into the competition standings in time...

Going to abandon the template for now, get working sensor readouts in c++ then convert that into my template for AGK.

Will report back

the scope is not to deliver an app in 6 months, but in the next 2 weeks to try to be in the first 50 and win some $

I hear yah, but I see two options here:

Apply - Get a free laptop (3 year loan) with the chance of making it in time and winning some $

Don't Apply - No free laptop, and no chance of winning some $

I think its a no brainer... At worst, you get a laptop.

6 Months was referring to the contract with Intel for accepting the development hardware, it is not tied into the competition.

I just nipped home from the office during my lunch (the benefit of working close to work) to test out a theory I had been mulling over as to why my sensors wasn't working, and voila! I have X, Y & Z accelerometer being printed on screen by agk...

I needed to add Sensorsapi.lib in Project Properties >Linker >Input >Additional Dependencies
Hope it helps!

Happy now!

nice idea zeerun!

i think sensorsapi also covers all the sensors not just the accelerometer?

are you checking sensors change every sync??

also i think we need to implement out own touch tap too as the agk one only triggers on double tap touch not 1 single tap

Zeerun, I have also easily managed to detect the sensor & get a result if it exists or not, however everything is crashing when I am reading the sensor data itself.

Do I need to set up any permission before reading sensor data ?

I'm just trying the Lux sensor as its the easiest one!
