Hi

I exported 3D model to a .x file but I'm not sure what to do with it next. I am running the demo version so capabilities are limited

any help would be much appreciated.

Do yourself a favour by going into the FPSC\Files directory and take a look at the files in the 'entity' folder and copy one of the '.FPE' files over to a new folder and rename it with your models name.
For a single entity you will need the following files:
Icon - 64x64 '.BMP' image of your model.

Texture - Your 'single' texture file for the model (NOTE-best to use '.PNG or .TGA' file formats.

Model - Your '.X' file.

FPE - Your 'copy' of an FPE file with the name of your texture and model copied over (don't forget the file extentions).

When the naming is done you can test it but don't forget to delete the '.BIN and .DBO' files generated by FPSC before testing the model with any new changes made.

Are you running the demo or the free version? The demo is very limited, but the free version has everything that the full version has, but you just can't build games, that's all.
