Hello.
My FPS Creator stole my free space on disc C (i have only 14 GB disc) and i have only 500 MB free. I want to make a game, but i cant. Is that natural (stoling free space) in FPSC ?
Thanks for help.
Leon.

Yeah, it's normal to have FPSC take up hard drive space

Look to clear temp files in your machine.

Internet cache files can be cleared. Unneeded screen shots and movies can be deleted to make space. Zip files that are extracted can be deleted.

Make back ups of some of your stuff and take it off the machine. That might give you enough room to build the game.

But you should get another hard drive installed and install FPSC on that drive and have all the files you need there. Thus freeing valueble space on your c: drive to allow the operating system to be able to write the files it requires.

You'll find the more assets you have (segments, sounds, models, etc...) the more hard drive space it will take and I would definitely look at getting a bigger hard drive, at least 250gb.

I reject your reality and substitute my own...

Funny little story, I have a little over ten gigs of FPSC stuff on my hard drive. And I have only... About, one quarter of all the official model packs. I still feel like I don't have enough though.

"I think I'm getting the 'Black Lung,' pop."

"Derrick, you've been down there for one day."

Best thing you could do for yourself is Upgrade your Hard Drive.

You can easily Clone your current hard drive over to a new hard drive. The only thing that may be a problem is the fact that a 14GB hard drive might be in FAT32 and any new hard drive you will want in NTFS. If you need help doing this, email me.

I am not sure there is a way to point its path to another location after install. I installed it on a different hard drive then C: Drive and its path was pointed to the install location on my other hard drive. I had to unistall it from C: Drive before I could install it on my other drive.

But after install, I just copied over the whole FPSC folder structure and the Model packs were reconized by FPSC when opening the new install.

This also gave me a backup of what I had on C: drive which I burned to DVD and erased, freeing space on my c: drive.

Hope this helps out.

I believe that you can just move the folder (C:/program files/TheGameCreators/FPScreator) to your D drive it will work fine.

@ The Zoq2

Yes it will work fine if you do that.

but if he installs any new model packs it will point to the C: directory so he will need to keep in mind that he would have to change that.
