Hi,

Anyone that has seen my posts in the 3D chat forum with Van-B will know about this.

It's a program I am working on to allow Lightwave LWO files to be loaded direct into Dark Basic Pro and retain all there settings.

Current addition to the program is vertex colours.

Hopefully this week UV data should be added.

Screen shots are here

Well, I wouldn't mind paying for it if it was really good but without a credit card the problems starts. Let me know if you need a tester

Is that LWO object importer only for DBPRO or also for DBC?

As DBC doesnt support vertex colours then this version is only for PRO.

I do have another version that loads just the object data into DBC.

Rich:
I have never used vertex color shading, didn't even know DBP could handle that. Looks kinda cool but I think I'll stick with textures. Well, you never knows...

Just send it to the email on my site

BTW, will you make it load LWS files later? Would be nice to be able to load the animations with bones and weightmaps.

LOL you dont want much do you !!! LOL J/K

Yer sure I will send u a email as soon as I get it done.

Yes hopefully I will expand it to LWS models later as I can then load camera positions and lighting too.

The advantage of Vertex colours is that you can use one texture and then make it look different by adding a vertex colour to it so you dont need to have as many textures.

Well, I have used vertex colors, or rather surface colors as LW calls them when you're not using a vertex color map.
