Just when everything was going ok and I created the first 3-level executable, after I play the entire game once, and I try to play it again, it encounters an error.

After you play the game one time and exit, check the Task Manager to see if your application executable is still running. Also, please provide your OS info.

Win 7 Ultimate (x86)^.

But I think I didn't explained it right. When I end the first game, I don't exit the game to windows. I exit to the main menu and when I try to paly again, it crashes. Normally a few seconds between the loading screen and just before the video starts.

I guess you'll need to go with some trial and error unless someone else has seen this before and has an answer. I would rebuild without the video first, and see what that does.

It runs fine without the video. But removing the video takes lot of a game out. Nowdays videos are important. And along with some other errors, it's quite irritating. Sometimes I'm saving and an errors occurs saying "The application has encountered an unexpected error and is now exiting."
Are so many erros normal? Can it be another program I having causing all this?

It could be a number of things. Providing your system specs may be helpful in identifying a problem.

You certainly don't have any shortage of hardware. If anything, you may have too much.

Check too make sure that you have sufficient system resource - not too many background programs running & using up all your virtual memory. You can try turning off any unneeded programs/processes to see if anything is interfering with FPSC.

It could be something as simple as a 3rd party media player that attempts to start up when it notices access to a video. There are just too many possibilities. I wish I had a better answer for you.

When trying to dissect and troubleshoot, you need to "paint a picture" so we can better help you. Try to explain exactly what it is you are doing when these errors occur.

Let's dissect it this way...

You said "it runs fine without the video". Does that mean it loads up, plays good, you can exit, and restart without issue?

What exactly are you doing when you get these other errors? For example, you are attempting to save a game, you jump on a ledge, a level is loading, you're trying to reload a saved game?

Most importantly that seems to have been missed... what version of FPSC are you using? v118? v119? v120 beta?

There's no problem that can't be solved without applying a little scripting.

This appears to be an FPSC issue. I don't know if it's been addressed, but you can stop trying to find a cause in your system.

I have v1.19.

I build the game, play the game all to the end, and when it exits to the main menu and I try to play again, it crashes.

I don't know that this will be of any help but I had similar problems with FPSCx10. It was so bad that I ended up removing the option to go to the main menu. Just allowed to save the game, continue playing, or exit. If they want to play a new game they must close it out and restart. I know that is a terrible solution but, for my purposes, it was better than the alternative.

Good luck!

Thanks for the help. I'll try that and the trigger solution indicated in the other post xplosys refered. The problem is that now, the program is crashing when I try to test a level. It says it has exceeded the memory limit. I have 8BG. How can a single room with a few objects do that? I'm going mad!
