Hello guys just thaught id post and share a few things i want to see in FPSC 2.
Editor Features
1: Id like to see a real 3d editor such as 3d World Editor from TGC shop integrated with this. This will allow much more realistic levels to be made. Its easy to use even for beginners. And it will release all the limitations on having to create new segments!.
Benefits:
Easy to use mesh creation, make pillars, stairs, arches, towers, windows any way, shape, size you want! No pain staking meshes!
Apply any texture you want! No need to create new segments!
More complex and detailed levels, No more feeling of being traped in a world of cubed corridors!
Cons:
Some people just dont have patience for real level design? Well better re consider your career / hobby then!
2: Real 3d Camera instead of top down view. This iritates me so much.
3: More Asset creation tools. In editor Script Editor.
Engine Features
1: You absoultely must improve performance, The last time i used it on my hexa core computer it didnt go so well. Id like to see Tesselation. This is a feature of Dx11 that allows the engine to reduce the number of pollys of models dynamicaly. Its much more efficient than LOD systems.
2: Improved sound system. The sound zones just dont work. Maybe we could add some sort of reverb system into the engine? Hl2 had it way back in 2003, it was impressive. So it should be possible to implement some sort of system similar in 2012?
3: Complete open Source:
Ability to edit any game related code to suit individual need
More Realistic Weapons system, Iron sights, Recoil, Rate of fire, Physical projectiles, Pennitration.
Modular design so people can share plugins and engine mods for people to use in their game!
