I made about 4 different .scr files out of this with different screen resolutions. I then put it in c:/windows/system32/ folder and went to the screen-saver section and even put them in my screen saver app, but none of them work, not even on 'Preview'... they just make a flash in the display box and that's it.

So, I don't know what I could've done wrong. Any suggestions?

There are a couple of precautions to take with screensavers. But I am sure you have to call your application 'SCRNSAVE', like the application title, so the control panel knows that it's a screensaver.

Worth a try anyway. Also, be aware that screensavers are opened with command line switches, 's' means open and show the screensaver, 'c' means open and show the properties. You should also try and make sure that only 1 instance of the app can run at a time, otherwise your PC will just fill up with instances of your screensaver, slow to a crawl, and probably crash at some point.

I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more memes.
