Hi all,
Just a simple question.

Do you think Vishnu packer should keep support or should I let it die a death and stop support ?

Vishnu packer been updated and support for many years now and has gone threw many changes, do many people still use this product or have you moved on to something else.

With windows 8 now released I need to know if people still need new features and support for this product.

Are you planning to make this work for both v1 and the next FPSC, dropping v1 completely, or making a separate version to support both?

We are hoping you will still support this even when the next FPSC is developed and released. Not all of us are switching to the new and improved (no need in our developments to do so) and we still use Vishnu Packer with our developments for our clients. However, we also have had no issues as it works perfectly with no problems at all.


There's no problem that can't be solved without applying a little scripting.

I have a friend who repairs computers. I'll see if he has a machine with Windows 8. I'm sure I can test it if he does.

I still use Vishnu Packer and Vishnu Lock as I haven't as yet found anything that matches them for ease of use, so please continue supporting them

Thanks for your replies it help as lot.

I'm looking at adding some new features and merging vishnu packer and lock into one product.

Also adding a feature so the game is locked to the computer its unpacked in.

I honestly like Vishnu. Although I don't have the use for it right now I will have a lot of use for it here very soon. Thanks s4real.

I've read about vishnu months ago in another topic, and googled it a lot, but could not find what it was. Now, I can say that such a tool would be very interesting for me to use... If only I could overcome those millions of erros I have in my FPSC!

I have encountered one small issue with Vishnu packer.

When i use the icon changer, it makes the .exe unbootable and it encounters errors.

Any thoughts on this or is it an isolated issue to just me?

@unfamillia :- The icon changer is to change the icon of vishnu products only and does not support any other products.

If you changing the FPSC.exe icon then it will not boot but there is a fix on the forum for that after changing an FPSC.exe.

You need to get a program called Pro fix :- http://winch.pinkbile.com/download/pro_fix.zip

Some program will work other won't depend how the exe is compiled but you shouldn't have any problems changing a vishnu.exe.

I would like to see it still supported as I still use it. Also I am going to try it out on windows 8. I am doing a lot of testing with TGC products in windows 8. Just to see what might not work. Before I change over to windows 8 on my desktop.

I couldn't imagine FPSC without Vishnu, if you did indeed stop support then please do add it back when V2 comes out.
