Hey,

I decided to get back into the whole programming scene, and to start off I decided to make a space arcade game.

It had single and multiplayer and it is surprisingly addictive

Please try it out and tell me what you think

This seems to be a virus, it now starts up when ever I start my pc.
Did you create this with DBPro?

EDIT: you built a virus into the DBpro exe by using a bad Putty by Simon Tantham.

I believe you built in a infected thirdparty dll.
What dll did you use for multiplayer?
It is very unusual for a DBPro exe to get infected.
Have you scanned your system? If so what did you find?
Any info will help others who may have gotten infected.
Information so far Microsoft Security Essentials will detect and remove it, but
it returns upon restart.
Upon startup it recreates “space game.exe” and runs but, the Dbpro exe has a file not found error
so crashes hopefully this is a good thing.
I am in the process of figuring out how to remove it and will post here.

ok i ran a full scan with kaspersky and it removed it, but i had the same startup issue... i fixed it by running msconfig and going to the startup section and disabling it... the two i disabled were java updates and a microsoft audio thing... hope this helps really sorry about this btw i should have scanned before uploading

We had to delete the associated exes which were listed in the startup in msconfig as well as unchecking them in startup.
The two entries in Startup have the same author "Simon Tantham".

To get to a normal startup you can remove the entries in msconfig startup.

The list of unchecked entries in MSConfig is located at

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg]

Delete the keys listed under startupreg to remove the unchecked items from the MSConfig window
