I wiped out my Laptop and restored it, Re-installed FPSC from the disk upgraded it and tried to do a test run and it said I need direct x 10. I do not have that version of FPSC. I bought my disk in 2006 I think. I thought it needed direct x 9.0c I installed that and my FPSC does not run. Any answers?

FPSC x10 requires Direct X10. FPSC x9 does not. - Are you sure you have the newest version of FPSC x9 and the newest DirectX 9.0c?

I don't own FPSCx10 I bought my disk in 2005. All I did was install it, run the serial code when asked to, ran the upgrade and tried to run FPSC. I am going to delete it and try it again. I downloaded the direct x 9c from the MS website. I am going to look at that again to make sure it is the most recent version!

I need some help here I can;t run FPSC, It keeps saying I need Directx 10. I thought maybe it reverted to the free version but it didn't the ini file has my serial# where it should be.

I have re-installed on this PC many times with no problems. I just did a complete restore (ALT F10) and set the PC back to factory defaults, that had to do something. It is a windows Vista OS but I have had no problem running FPSC before. I have the latest version of direct x 9 and have it installed and have upgraded FPSC to v1.19

I installed directx 9.0c I will download the SDK and see if that changes anything. If I can't get FPSC to work I am going to look real hard into Unity

Well thanks to you all! I couldn't even find Direct X 10, I found others on the MS website, 11, but no 10. I downloaded the SDK and FPSC works now, Thanks!
