So, I've been working on this for quite awhile now, it's an implementation of the Q Line system and some other 3d math. I've put about a solid 4-6 weeks into it, so I thought I'd show it off. Since it isn't really a WIP project in and of itself, I thought this board would be much more appropriate.

Essentially, DZ Cam is my action shot/panning battle camera for an as-of-yet-directionless RPG project I've thought about pursuing. It's designed under the principle of a giant, invisible elliptical cone hovering above the battlefield. The sweeping shots it makes are based on points along the cone. There is some structure for changing the conic it's based around, but they aren't available in the controls because there is no other object to point at yet

Other than that, it has the prompter code, some basic fog controls, and matrix/height-map editing.

If you're interested in the source for my beautimous DZ Cam, email me and then post in this topic reminding me to go check my email Since it's the largest-scale project I've done so far, and an integral part of my core engine, I have some concerns that must be laid to rest before I just give it away.

Thanks guys. Sadly there's not a lot I can do for awhile since I'm trying to get a new computer before I buy a lot of those add-on packs, such as Character Shop, TreeParty, Plant Life, sky-box generators and whatnot so I can actually put something ON the test screen. I plan to have procedurally generated forests and some other backgrounds, particles/attack animations, the whole nine yards... once I have a system that can store all the source data for the whole nine yards

I'm going to get one of the superdeals that includes DB Studio once I can get a better rig. I don't want to waste money on a computer that I pray I won't be using five months from now, y'see. Licensing per-machine issue.

What am I suppose to be seeing here? I have a sphere on a matrix and can turn the fog off and on. Should I be seeing something else? I don't see a cone and the camera only moves if I move it.

@Phaelax: The "Cone" is hypothetical. It basically just refers to the calculations I did to get the camera to swing the way it does. And yeah, the attached text file lists all the debug commands.

@MrValentine: The superdeals are referring to the 50-90% off sales that they have every now and again (Like Bonanza pack)

@TheComet: Thanks, man.
