Hi guys, this is a project that I found on kickstarter a few days ago. Basicaly, it\'s an image editor, sort of like photoshop, but with one major advantage. You can change any edits that you have done since you started with the image. So, say you start working on a metal texture, and add some colors and filters. But when you see the end result, you notice that it would look better if the \"bumpmap\" should be a bit weaker.

Usualy you would have to undo every step that you have done unitl where you added the bumpmap. But with ormr, you should be able to just change the bumpmap and all your other changes will update acordingly.

So, what do you think, will this revolutionise graphic editing. Personaly I think I will back this project, there are sevral ocations when I have wanted something like this.

It's a great idea, but why no linux? They're making it for OSX and Windows, it couldn't be that much extra effort! EDIT: Nevermind, they've answered that.

Photoshop has adjustment layers for this exact reason.

Well, say you select something on a layer, then do some stuff. No adjustment layer is gonna be able to change the selection's shape. Unless I'm mistaken!

And this project is a great idea! Not as revolutionary as they hype it up to be, but still a wonderful way to remove a very annoying issue that most graphics editors come into contact with very frequently.

I save any selection shapes or make paths where appropriate.

Nooo, why make an image editor from the ground up? That's a waste of time!

They should just go to GIMP and add that feature in. Why re-invent the wheel?

Seems a bit pointless when you can just do the same with layers in Photoshop or GIMP.

You're signature has been erased by a mod

It does seem a bit pointless, but the idea is good...

I don't like the GUI layout: it will fail on 1024x600 (netbooks) and 5:4 screens. It's made for 16:9 screens.

A generic editor for big screens only. Meh. Photoshop is still the king, and it's price is affordable.
