Hey Guys, I used to hang out around here quite a bit a few years ago. A lot has happened since then, but I always enjoyed posting things up here for feedback, so i figured I might as well show you what i've been cooking up lately... If this forum still has some of the same people hanging around, I think you guys will really appreciate this.

I have been releasing dozens of recordings every month for the last 3-4 months under the propositional name The F.i.T. Although we have been doing this much longer than that

We are a duet of Electrified Acoustic Bass and Electric Guitar Primarily, but we also do other combinations like guitar and drums, piano and vocals etc.

Our Sound can be most objectively and precisely described as 60's psychedelia, Mixed with 90's pop, some electronica, Romantic era'esque guitar orchestrations,70's rock n' roll and an uncanny blues influence you won't be able to put your finger on. Basically a mix of everything good... and also, all live... all the time

Currently You can download/stream any of our currently 70+ tracks(spanning 7 albums, 3 of which are released in their entirety) from here: http://soundcloud.com/the-f-i-t

Also, we have been doing more with video's lately, this week I've been getting up a new video everyday... HEAR...22 video's and counting...http://www.youtube.com/user/TheFiTlegit

If You dig it, all we ask is that you spread the word. Everything is free, and all the music, artwork and everything else is done painstakingly and, without rest often times, by 2 people. We could really use your support! Cool to be here again. PEACE.[u]

Not bad at all, sounds like an interesting live act and would go down well.
But please guy's get a drummer, this kind of sound really needs it and your timing is all over the place. A drummer would tighten things up no end and finding one if your a working band should be no problem, any decent drummer could start gigging with you straight off the bat as this sounds pretty much workman like.

@Rolfy We do have drums on many of our songs. But as we use no loops, and minimal to no effects, that restricts us to arrangements like Drums and Guitar, Keyboard and Drums etc. We also have intentionally used the perceived 'absence' of the drums as a metaphorical, rythmic and overall aesthetic device. There is very little we do that doesn't have a reason behind it we find out, being that we are Artists, and I encourage that you listen to it for what it is first, if you tried to cover our songs you would realize what I mean. They are played to be the way they are, in the moment, and generally completely impromptu.

Given that none of the songs in your post have any kind of drums whatsoever or even looped timing of any sort and the fact that both guitar and bass are awash with effects, you cant blame me for judging on this. Unless you expected me to investigate much further and scour the net etc for other songs by you. Unfortunately this was not the case and I gave an honest opinion on your work as it stands above.

Haven't seen an explanation like that since my last visit to the Tate gallery. I dont listen to music for metaphorical whatzamathingy just whether or not it sounds good or has a great hook.
I believe I did listen to them for what they are....honestly.

Not sure that your mocking me or yourself by italicizing artists, kinda ironic since I earn my living as an Artist all my adult life.
To be honest your sound reminds of myself and my buddy jamming when we were kids over 35years ago, so to suggest I would discover anything new if I 'tried' to cover them doesn't make any sense to me, nor should it to you since you got no idea what my abilities are

These songs above are pure Hendrix and I don't mean in a bad way, they are Psychedelic Rock pure and simple (I don't hear the eclectic mix you speak of unless you compare the way many rock artists were influenced by blues music, but I dont think that applies now in the same way as it did then), and to me nowadays without tight timing and a good drummer they simply don't work as well as they should.

You posted here obviously seeking opinion, I merely gave mine, or did you just want publicity without comment?

I wasn't even that harsh dude and your gonna hear a lot worse from a real music critic
