I have the latest DBpro and am using the "powered by Synergy" editor Build Jun 23 2010. I have used it ok since its 1st release. A few days ago a problem started which was 1st reported back in 2010 but without a forum solution.

If i add or change a program text without saving then although it compiles and produces and exe, the window opens and closes in a fraction of a second. Even "wait key" is ignored.

If however i save any changes and then compile/run, it works fine.

I have tried contacting digitalzenith.net and John Youren directly but web site is no longer accessable and emails are not received by him.

Is this the end of the DBpro editor as we know it?

I know others have experienced this problem so can anyone provide a solution.
p.s I have uninstalled DBpro and resinstalled without any remedy.
I can use the older U73 editor as a temporary stop gap as this appears to work fine.

Use the Indigo editor I use it. It seems to be the popular choice around here these days. had no problems so far. I am on my phone now or I would dig up the link for you. Do a search and you will find it.

Thanks Dragon slayer for a least responding, but I have persevered to find a solution rather than an alternative.

I'm having a lot of problems with my eyes at the moment so am unable to spend a lot of time on the pc and when I do I often miss things but I appear to have found a solution to the problem.

My folder options somehow have been changed so that the file extensions in windows explorer are hidden. This stops my default editor from working properly. By selecting "show file extensions", problem solved.

Hope this helps others because I have found it a nightmare.

I never even looked at this editor until now. I like it. I am going to try it for a while!
