I am currently working on a tile based engine, and have it set up so that each tile has an image pasted to it every frame. This is working very well, but I now need to implement animated textures, such as water.

I don't know what kind of media I should use... Should I use a sprite sheet or some kind of gif or some other method?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Hi there.
You could use an animated gif or several images and make your own function.

To load an animated gif:

Cheers.

huh, that's awesome chafari I didn't know you could do it that way.

Alternately, you can use the command create animated sprite, which will load an image like this.
