Well I got worms 3D the other day, and I'm really loving it, except for whatevers going wrong! Sometimes during play the last word a worm says is looped until that worm is killed, while sometimes levels (or menu screens after levels) fail to load.

I have the PS2 copy, basicly I'm wondering if this is a bug within the game it's self or if my copies faulty. Thanks.

The GameCube version is much better, and its a great game but yep, they obviously skimped on the testing.

For example, with the random level generator, sometimes I have to configure it and accept it multiple times before the level is "fixed".

Sigh... this is a disturbing trend with modern software, bodge now, fix never.

Traditionally console games manufactuers have insisted on in-depth testing and because each end-user machine is the same you don't get hardware compatibility problems. Hence bugs are or were virtually non-existant. Nintendo and Sega in particular were very strict about this.

However, the pressure to meet deadlines has sadly resulted in games coming out with an increasing no. of bugs - unlike PC games, they cannot be fixed.

AAGh. it is the worst worms game I've ever played! Even I could have made it a lot better, if I just had the media.

First of all, the AI get's stuck pretty often. And there are other things like that too... but the worst part is definately the camera. It is a major pain in the ass! It effectively limits your moving and makes it very painful experience. plus it makes jumping way too difficult and so on... I can't believe they made it like that!

Plus the damage calculations don't feel very accurate either... and the 3rd dimension makes the levels a bit too hard.

Nah I think the 3D graphics make the levels more fun! The damage is a bit off, I agree with you their but whats wrong with the camera? you can move it yourself!

Yeh, but it has collision in it. And it effectively stops you from turning it properly. instead of moving the camera over the obstacle next to you, it just won't move in that direction!

Yes, the camera can be a real pain at times. Hopefully the patch will sort it.

Damage calculations for worms firing bazooka's has to be accurate? Should we just settle for balanced gameplay instead?

God created the world in 7 days, but we're still waiting for the patch.

Odd - I find the camera quite easy to use.

It gets in the way when your trying to aim and move - if there is anything in the way, it wont let you do what you want...
