My mom is currently in germany and is trying hard to buy me a google nexus 7 but every where she goes they only have 32gb version which cost 300 euros. The stores in question are Saturn and Mediamarkt.

Does anyone know where else she could look for it. I want 8gb or 16gb version which doesn't cost more than 250 euros.

Can't buy it from the google store online? What about asking these places to order one in?

in my country there's no google play and she can't buy it there because she is computer illiterate so it has to be an offline store.


she's there for only one week so there won't be enought time for it to arrive and i'm pretty sure they don't have that cheaper versions anymore even if you want to order.

Last thing I heard is that the 8gb version was discontinued whent they added the 32gb one...

Umm, isn't the 32GB version with 3G over 300€ and without 3G it's close to 250€? For example I found this -> http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/879003/
Conrad is a big online shop for electronics and stuff, but they do have stores. On the right side below where the price is (well, a little lower than that..) you have a dropdown menu to check if one of these is available in a store near wherever your mom is... I checked Essen and Dortmund which should have atleast 1 in store, others don't. Dunno if it's accurate and will actually be there, plus you'd need some luck to find one close to her. Didn't see the non-32GB versions at Saturn or Mediamarkt (no in the online shop) and these are indeed the major stores for electronic devices and media and all that. You could try MediMAX or expert or ... well that's all I can tell you off the top of my head

I just checked amazon.de but there both the 16gb and 8gb cost around 270€ Otherwise you could've ordered there and paid a little extra for expess delivery which should be there in 1 day. But that might be risky, I guess.

Edit: Other online stores would be alternate.de who seem to have an "offline store" in Linden but I can't find the Nexus 7 in their store, or Mindfactory (Nexus 7 16GB) who have a goods issue (is that what it's called? where you order something and then have to pick it up there? the online dictionary told me this ) in Wilhelmshaven
