Just kidding Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. Tell us what presents you got

Oh come on. We're trying to talk with sigs here and you rudely interrupt.

Happy Christmas to those who celebrate it, and especially to the miserable gits that don't celebrate it, under the false assumption that it's still considered a religious holiday.

Thanks guys! I'm enjoying Christmas Eve with my family and hoping to get some decent sleep before my Daughter's brain decides it's up time!

For me I've already had my main present - the funding for Reloaded!

Take care everyone, enjoy the break, 2013 is going to be great for TGC (I hope!)

Happy Christmas and Happy Holidays for those who celebrate something else.

Although it's still Christmas Eve, but ah well. I'll enjoy the 2 days off work, though chance are, I'll be the one cooking Christmas dinner.

Happy Holidays everybody! Hopefully you all are having a white Christmas (or Hanukkah, or whatever else you might celebrate!), unfortunately it's mostly green still here in Pittsburgh

We pretty much share the same time zone as Australia so it's Christmas here too!
Had a lot of good food and drink with family and friends.
Might have gone a tad overboard on the beer but really there is nothing better.

We won't be celebrating Christmas until the evening, when everybody's off work. Looking at the alcohol I've bought, might end up getting drunk, Captain Morgan's, Jack Daniels (bought them because Tescos advertised them as a family pack), Vodka and a few bottles of Swedish cider (Rekorderlig), prolly won't end up drinking them all, but plenty to get me merry. Kinda disappointed in myself for not buying any mead.

Oh well, the turkey's on and it's a big'un, so can't wait for Christmas dinner.

Lol, having a brother who's a chef usually means he's working Christmas day, so I don't think he's ever cooked us Christmas dinner, however, my mum does a damn good job - though I am covering it whilst she's at work.

Hey guys, I've had a really terrible Christmas. This past year has been the single worst year of my entire life, between my numerous health related issues and other stresses. I've been really depressed lately, so I was really looking forward to a nice holiday. Unfortunately, there was a big argument in my family, and I ended up spending most of Christmas day with more distant relatives who I hardly know. I'm more depressed than ever, and I could really use something to cheer me up.

What I got for Christmas:

Games:
Music:
DVDs
Misc:

"OMG, nonZero, you got no presents from anybody?"

Yup.

"You must be heartbroken!"

Nope.

"WTH??"

Yesterday was great. I don't care if this sounds silly but I got to spend yesterday having a simple lunch of cold meat, salad and cheeses (RSA Chistmas is in summer so its hot weather so we have cold lunches) and had almost the entire day doing what I wanted without the noise, nagging and whining of the rest of the family (who were out having a noisy christmas) or the TV blaring so loud I can here it in my bedroom. I'm happy.

@Seppuku:
That be some some real fine Chistmas booty ye got there.

@:Herakles:
Your Christmas is what you make of it. You need to let go of tradition a little to see the up side here: you got a free lunch and prolly a decent one too. I have health issues too and they've stolen about 5 years of my life. The last 2 years have been hell on earth for me too (looooong story). So my advice is this: you make your own universe. I won't spout bs self-help tips here, what I will say is that you control your own perception. Then you start climbing your way out the mess you're in. Besides, Christmas is just another day really. All that stuff like families singing carols, presents, turkey and booze are just bonuses and by no means a compulsory part of life. I have the same sentiments towards my birthday too - just another day, but one where I can milk cash outta everyone.

To each his own, but I agree with your sentiments, Christmas is what you make of it. Which is why I don't understand why people moan that Christmas has become too commercialised, it's only commercialised if you let it become that way. Whilst we do buy each other presents, for us it's very much about family. For you it seems to be very much about peace.

I got some Gentleman Jack in the family pack of JD I bought, also got regular JD and Single Barrel JD, though I've yet to crack any open, last night was about the Captain Morgan's.

Quote: "perfume"

That reminds me, my friend bought me some as well, glad to see I'm not the only guy who wears the stuff. My friend got me Fenris Wolf from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab and it's awwwwesome. I think it was my only Viking related present.

Sorry to hear you didn't have a great Christmas. I don't know if this'll cheer you up, but help Dikembe Mutombo save the world. I thought it was a lot of fun .

My presents:

Games:
-Intrusion 2

Misc:
-2x2x4 rubicks cube (seriously, this thing is IMPOSSIBRU)
-80 bucks from parents
-60 bucks from other family members
-Half a glass of champagne
-Lots of time for programming

Belated merry Christmas to everyone! My girlfriend wasn't feeling well but she cooked a Korean feast for me. I gave her an iPad and she got me some cologne and topped it off with some sweet "dessert". Ah, Christmas is great
