I've been locked out of my FB for at least a month now. Stating that they have detected suspicious activity coming from my IP address. If it's from my IP address, then why can't I log in from any location or even my phone? It then goes on to say I am blocked for 24 hours. Well, after the first 72 hours and still unable to get it because I must wait 0 minutes to log in again (yea, 0), I still couldn't get in. But of course I haven't been able to find any way of contacting FB on the issue. The only email contact I could find using google wouldn't work anymore getting an auto-reply basically stating nobody will ever look at my email.
Well, looks like I can finally login.... or can I? To "help keep Facebook trustworthy and free of spam" (yea right), I have to verify my identity by giving my cell phone. What if I don't have a cell? Or have texting? Or perhaps don't want my cell phone on FB records? It even states "Your phone number will be added to your Timeline". We all know how terrible FB is with privacy and all it does is give an illusion of protecting it, but that's a bold statement admitting they don't give a rat's arse about your privacy.
But there is an alternative to using my phone number. Yay! Oh wait, submit a request to verify my account using my government-issued ID. Sorry pals, no license. And it's illegal to make any sort of photocopy of my military ID.
Not mention how many times I've been blocked from adding people for several days because I attempted to add someone it said I did not know. Hey FB, I think I know who I know better than you do. So next time I try to add my friend of 10years, don't assume anything just because we don't have any mutual friends.
