DarkBASIC Professional Discussion / Dark Basic Pro won't start up

To cut a long story short DBP won't start up on my computer. Ie I doible click the icon and nothing happens. I have done all the obvious things ie clean re-installs, empting memory etc etc
Has anybody got a suggestion.

Is it a shortcut that you're trying to open (from your desktop or start menu etc.)?
If so it might be linking to a path that is invalid. Search your installation folder (mine's at C:\Program Files (x86)\The Game Creators\Dark Basic Professional) and try running the Launch.exe file there. If that still doesn't work go to the Editor subfolder and run Editor.exe or EditorNew.exe. If it works in that way you can just update your shortcuts by rightclicking on them and providing the correct path to the executable.

Alternatively, did you restart your computer?

I doubt that you require it to run the Editor but have you installed DX9.0c?

Try what Rudolpho has suggested and please get back to us

That's funny, I'm having the opposite problem. I can't close the IDE! It works fine otherwise.
