Number 5 looks like a sVideo to VGA. And from what I can tell, number 8 looks like a ÙSB extention cord

1) Parallel port (printer) or large serial port. Maybe an old SCSI?
2) Serial ports
3) Firewire?
4) EU power lead
5) Component video to VGA lead I expect for a analogue camera of some kind.
6) THIS NUMBER IS MISSING
7) Not sure can't tell from that angle.
8) USB extension lead
9) pretty standard power lead will fit things like PlayStation 2, cassette recorders, Tivo boxes etc.
10) Err, it's a joystick, if I'm to guess. Microsoft sidewinder or one of the Logitech series.
11) Is that a power adapter a camera I think. I vaugely remember seeing one in the late 90's.
12) There is no 12
13) There is no 13
15) There is no 15
16) Travel adapter plugs into your cars cigarette lighter
17) I'm guessing some kind of RAM module.

You have 5 wrong, I think its older than that, its from an old 21 inch crt monitor, the thing was as deep as it was wide, weighed a ton as well, all those plugs went into the back.

Just because a plug fits doesn't mean the rating is the same.

If you're unsure of the port, just count the pins.

1) Parallel port (DB-25) to motherboard header
2) Serial ports
3) Looks like firewire to me.
4) Power cable (non-US)
5) VGA to component video
6) Missing Pic
7) Hard to tell from the pic
8) USB extension
9) another power cable
10) Joystick (you really needed to ask?)
11) Another power adapter
12) Missing
13) Missing
14) VGA/S-video splitter
15) Missing
16) Car adapter (no where does it say converts to 9v)
17) 256MB 168-pin SDRAM (better known as PC100)

I found the RAM size after some googling with the serial number. You can tell the type of ram just by looking at the notches.
