I have downloaded this and played it and I must say it was fairly entertaining. The spiders gave me the creeps, especially the small ones! Anyway the combat felt pretty well balanced and was well paced. I liked the level design and the lighting was good. Overall, a high quality game, aside from the non existent story though. Not that it matters, this is a game about the gameplay, not as much the story.
I have a few suggestions for improvements in your game.
-The stock menu and loading sounds should be replaced with something custom. Even if just as basic, you should change them from the default ones. It gives a lazy impression on the developer, even though that's clearly not true with the level design etc.
-Tell the player that X is the action button before they try to pick up the gun! Well, this one could just be me lol. I haven't used X as that button before. I didn't realise X was the action button, and when I went to pick up the gun I couldn't figure out for at least 20 seconds that X needed to be used. However, very minor and easily sorted out.
-At the stage where you first run into acid (I think at least) you can see a gap between the acid and the wall. Considering that acid is liquid this is a small design flaw.
Well so far so good, keep up the quality work.
