The texture mapping technique that is used by Doom 3 and Deus Ex 2 that allows low polygon models to look like high polygon models because the texture is affected by the light in a scene(not the model itself but the texture over it). This is my understanding to how the technique works anyway

Can this be done with DBPro??, other basic programming languages have succeeded.

Yup, DBP's bumpmapping is Dot3 and uses normal maps. Simulates the effect pretty well. (or at least it did for me before the last patch, which messed up bumpmapping for me)
