For some reason when I place (most) characters the editor just crashes, and a window pops up saying something about level being to large or building in too many levels. The thing is, this happens even in empty maps, it has nothing to do with the levels itself.
I tried to change (or shutting it off) the shader fx onto some of the problematic characters, to no avail. I've also used the FPSCCleaner but that didnt helped either.
I've searched in the forums and found nothing that helped overcome this bug, so I'm clueless.
Can someone help me?

EDIT: I use v1.20.004 on Windows 7 and it does crash in the editor, as soon as the entity is about to be placed.

First, the best thing to do is tell us what version of FPSC you are using. Also, does this happen when you run the test level or just by placing a character onto the map which happens to be "the last straw" of characters and then you get the crash? Or is it in a built game or level?

Hi,

I'm guessing you're using V119. This was a bug that wasn't reported until after it's official release.

If so, I'd strongly recommend upgrading to V120 beta. I must sound like I'm repeating myself to many people, but V120 has resolved many, many bugs..

Sry I forgot to add details. I just edited the 1st post, but to make double sure: I use v1.20.004 on Windows 7 and it does crash in the editor, as soon as the entity is about to be placed.

We're at beta 7 now so download that and install. Also, you can then pick up an alpha version which is on the last page or second to last page. This covers a couple of other issues not yet released as an official beta. I would at least get on the same page with most of us.

Actually, I have a similar issue only it involves weapons. We have a few "special developed" weapons for our Egyptian development. Seems when we go to place them, we click where to put the weapon and have to wait for almost a minute before the weapon shows placed and the mouse cursor returns. There was once where as soon as the minute was up I received the same error as the OP.

Now, since upgrading to v1.20 to "get on the same page with most" is not an option, perhaps Scene Commander can share what the issue may be so we can address it ourselves.

**EDIT**- we solved the issue on our own, since we are still on v1.17 and realized the request for direction was moot being in an older version.

There's no problem that can't be solved without applying a little scripting.

Thx Flatlander. I'm going to a carnival party (YAY!) right now so I can only test this tomorrow. I let you guys know by then, if the bug will still happens!
