Excuse the stupid question, but what does this do exactly?

I've used bass.dll and bassmod.dll in the past but decided to throw it away because of is 'free for non-commercial' part.

I'm actually currently working on one that is free from any licenses and does almost the same. Hopefully should have something to post shortly with it. It is great to get graphics dancing to music...

Comet has a snippet using FMOD to grab data for music synchronization. I've used it myself, it's pretty simple.

@ WLGfx

I've always been into syncing music with graphics, goes back to the Amega/Atari days!

Would love to see your implementation. Are you writing it as an external DLL add on?

@ Phaelax

Yeah use Fmod myself this is my first venture into BASS, any chance of a link to Comets snippet?

Not sure where Comet's original post was, but I have his code on my harddrive. I'll upload it here.

@WLGfx, I'll definitely take a look at that!

@Phaelax - Although it worked, it wasn't very fast like some of the general media players. I'm having a little trouble with my plugin at the moment, it works on some machines but not all and I'm trying hard to figure out why. Hopefully as soon as I resolve that issue then I can get to work on adding a spectrum fft into my plugin asap...

@TheLion - Most of my coding experience comes from the Atari ST and the Amiga 1200. I used to write demos constantly in them days too. So naturally I'm into that kinda coding...

Tried to run it but it terminates, the Dll and ini files for the plugin are in the right directories. shame, was really looking forward to this. if it helps my specs are

Windows 7 32 bit
FM1 AMD A6 Quad core
Radeon HD 6770 graphics
GA-A55M-S2V Mobo
Realtek onboard ALC887

MSVC run times in DB folder is 7.1

system folders contain 7.1,v8,v9 and v10

hope this helps.

Yeah, I've got a spare PC, freshly installed and it doesn't run on that at the moment. Hoping to figure out what is causing it...
