So, who else has programmed games for the TI's?

They probably programmed it in the calcs native ASM language (z80 for the 73-86 and 68k for the 89 and up). Hard, but insanely fast.

gbadev.net i think is the address.. you need a C++ compiler like DevC++. that's all free. or you can get DragonBasic. it costs money tho

i have doom for the ti83 it runs decently fast and it's in french. on the 89 you can do some decent (textured!!) raycasting and make things that look like a greyscale wolfenstein. TICT is the place to go for 89/92 programming.

yes, its too much of a damn bother. U need C++, (have to be really good at it too) u also have to buy these stupid blank cartiriges (that are really hard to find too) and then another special dev cable to hook it up...I rather stick to pc programming. I hadent actually made a game that I ported to my gba but I tried it once. I also long ago tried making Dreamcast games...It was just as hard so I quit. Yes I know I am a bad role model.

Any people out there with dreams...Here is some advice :
Don't even try. Trying is always the first step towards failure.
(hope no one here is stupid enof to actually follow my advice let alone take wat I say seriously)

I've run a rather accurate Wolfenstein 3D port on the TI-86, not even the plus version. I think it can be found at TICalc.org - despite the fact that it's really hard to see where you're going, it's not that bad.

Yeah, people make raycaster asm games for those calcs.

There is no plus version for the 86. Maybe you've been talking about the 83.

Yep, you can find thousands of TI games there. All free too.

And if I may, I suggest Gemini of Phoenix for the 83+ if you have one. But you do need MirageOS to use it (also a free download on www.ticalc.org)
