Hello all,

Anyone know any tricks for getting the MAC address of the computer through code?

I had a quick search through MikeNet and STYX and everything else I have and came up dry after half an hour...

Some searching brought up some C++ methods which I think you can get somebody to put into a plugin for you... unless you can manage it yourself...

Here is an oldy

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/118623

and something for more recent OSs

http://www.codeguru.com/cpp/i-n/network/networkinformation/article.php/c5451/Three-ways-to-get-your-MAC-address.htm

I hope these help... must get moving on, busy day ahead!

Hmmm... Yeah, I had a look through those modules too, as well as DarkNET... Couldn't seem to find any help. It may come down to writing my own plugin :S

If you can find a way, please post it. I think I could use that information myself.

I wonder if you can call a system dll to retrieve that info. Maybe not user32 but something else

I was thinking the same, though my experimentation so far has been unsuccessful
