Hello all!

Odd problem here... If I use VB.NET to write a line of text to a file (just as a string) and then try and read in that line of text using DBpro using READ STRING, the program locks up and needs to be closed... Anyone else had this happen?

Attached is the file saved out of VB.NET

For some reason it won't read in without crashing DBpro!

Here's the code I'm using to read in the line:

Ah, never mind. Fixed.

VB.NET exports by default to UTF-8 text format and DBpro uses Unicode

Aren't these the same thing? And I always thought that DBP uses ASCII, not Unicode.

Yes, my bad. It was ASCII.
