Well, I figured I'd get introduced into doing modeling and texturing with something simple. What's more simple than 2 boxes stuck together, right?

So, for all those aspiring gentlemen, up-and-coming mafiosos, and rich tycoons out there, sit back, relax, and have a Parquet Brand cigar.

Model has 24 polys, and has a .bmp texture file. Nothing really fancy, wood textured box with a logo and some gold banding, and some cigars inside. Might do some stand-alone cigar models as well to wrap my head around wrapping textures around cylinders.

Ciao!

fritterdonut: First off, Welcome to the community.

Ultimate Unwrap3D is great! It's cheap, and has a ton of mapping features, including 3d space mapping. I swear by it. Thanks for sharing, and hope to see more of what you can do.

looking good.

Welcome to the forums! Such generosity from a new forum user.

Thanks.

A small bit of advice i would give is, try not to use .bmp images for texturing....or anything really! haha. I would recommend using .dds (thats what i use for my models) or .png or .tga. Jpg is no longer supported in the most recent versions of the engine, so stay clear of those as well.

Keep up the good work.
