Hi fellow members, I have another problem. I successfully built my game and uploaded it to a file hosting site. I downloaded it and played it on different computers and it worked fine. Unfortunately, when I put my game onto a flash drive and attempt to play it, it freezes on the loading screen and crashes. This happens only when running the game from the flash drive.

Can anyone help me?

I'm not sure but this could be a "space" issue. When FPSC runs, it expands/uncompresses data onto the drive. (which is why it won't work on a CD/DVD) Is there enough space on the flash drive for FPSC to expand? If so, it could be that the drive interface isn't fast enough and FPSC is timing out?

Brian.

What Xplosys is probably true. There are also some extra suggestions I'd like to add. When you run a game from a USB stick, you are loading the game through that USB bus. Now, depending upon what USB speed the computer has, performance issues will differ greatly. STILL, what you are essentially doing here is running your program through an unnecessary bottleneck.

Move the files to somewhere on the PC to take the USB bus out of the equation. Everything should just go straight through the CPU and RAM.

PC Specs: AMD X4 2.7Ghz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia 9800GT, Win. 7 Pro 64 Bit

@PixelF :- I would advice not to run FPSC from a flash drive due to many factors.

Depends on your flash drive it could have slow read times hence crashing.

FPSC is designed to be run from the harddrive not cd/usb drives.

If you really wish to use a USB drive, try building your game with "imageblockmode" set to 0. Not sure if it would work, but it's worth a try I guess.
