Well I have not been around FPSC for a while. I have tried 3 or 4 times and done it step by step to install the RPG mod and it crashes FPSC every time. Not even right away but when I go to test a level. Took it out and FPSC runs fine. Wish it would work, it has a lot of stuff I want.

Anyway I downloaded the segment editor and it crashes every time I get into it for a little bit. I will probably get rid of TGC's tools for segments and entities. So what are the best segment and entity tools preferably free or low cost?

I want to be able to texture ceilings but I don't want the same texture for the floor in the room above. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks
Dragonslayer

Arg Dragon Slayer. I came across the same proble a while ago. You can add to the Fpe file to get the deisred effect. As i recall most segments fpe define 16 parts i.e. inside wall, outside wall, inside floor, outside floor, inside ceiling outsite ceiling I don't have my FPSC pc infront of me. So I am going from memory, which is about as sharp as a slim jim. You need to add a part to the fpe add your x and dds files accordingly.

Black Fox should be able to help you more with this. He's the one that explained it to me.

I think I had another post on this a few months ago and if I remember someone said I had to change about 16 things to re-texture a ceiling so I thought about making one with the texture I want. Don't really know what I can do just throwing things out there and seeing what sticks!

no dragon you don't have to change 16 things. You just have to change the texture of the top of the mesh that makes up the ceiling. Again I am going off a very rusty memory but there isn't much to it. Both how to do what your asking and my memory.

I have two brain cells left and they are waving goodbye to eachother.

You are referring to this thread. It may be of help.

There's no problem that can't be solved without applying a little scripting.

As for solving your ceiling problem. In Firma create a new floor and tick to texture both sides. If you make a room on level 5 then go to level 6 and tick for floor only. Then when you use the floor you made in firma you have a new ceiling.
