Hi!

I am releasing my first dark basic pro game. I tried to keep it simple and started with a nice game of blackjack. I never realized that blackjack was more complicated than I thought! Anyway, here is a feature list that is currently working.

Features:

Profile system: Keep a consistent profile. Tracks your funds and hands lost/won ratio's. Holds 10 unique profiles.

Dealer deals from 6 decks to the end and then reshuffles.

Vegas Blackjack rules - Insurance, Split and Surrender included.

Both Mouse interaction and keyboard quick keys can be used.

Features to come soon:

Sounds
Notification of reshuffle

Features of the future:

Multiplayer!

Download it here:

Any feedback/bug info would be great!

Thanks,
Justin

the game played well for me.

if you wanna go that extra mile to make the game more professional, add some "sauce" like:

(1) buttons actually push down when you click on them
(2) little sound effects that complete the experience

also if you set your bet to all of your money, the Replace Bet quick key works (R), but the screen button doesn't seem to reset the bet.

otherwise excellent work.

Thanks so much for the feedback walaber.

I fixed the issue with the reset bet button not working if you have bet all of your money. Good catch.

I am working on buttons that actually push when you click on em(I have some done already) and then I will move to the sound effects.

Thanks again.

Ok, new version.

I fixed the reset bet option and now when you click on a button it actually pushes down. I also redid the background and organized things a bit better. Here is a snapshot:

I made a Blackjack game about 10 years ago in Amos. The shuffle was the hardest part. I've made a Poker game for DB Classic. It's called Harry Potter's Magic Poker. It's a good idea to start programming with a card game.
