Anyone else find themselves browsing around the forums when they're bored? And that doesn't just mean if you have nothing to do, it could even be if you actually do have something to do...like "work on your game" (lol @ bolt). I know I do, I am right now; I could definitely be programming. Thing is a psychoanalyzed this and now I feel compelled to post about it, heh. For example Me and Akira Tsunami keep alternating posts, I'll go into something he's just replied to and then reply, go back to the list to see he's replied to something else. Lol, and it keeps going like that...

I'm addicted, for that's the reason I hardly get enough coding done.
(Heck I usually code, then compile, run game, check back on forums, and and keep doing that.)

You make it sounds like its a big undertaking.

I am thinking of installing mIrc but I don't really know how to go about it.

Oh God no! Don't do that, you'll make me feel older than I do now
I might end up being in the top 5 on that list.

Welcome to the forum.

New to programming? No problem, this will get you started.
http://darkbasicpro.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=13351&b=7

Remember, your #1 resource, is probebly this forum, so please follow the rules.

Also, use The Game Creators website as your #2 resource, for there's tons of tutorials.

Your #3 resource, the codebase. Might I recommend, since you're new to programming, just copying and pasting some of the code from the codebase to see the effects.

Might I recommend a piece I've written?(still in the works, havn't gotten around finishing it.)

I'd be impressed by Megaton's work, except he didn't model the gun or the alien; and it doesn't take a genius to make two perpendicular textured planes with a light.

Unless he actually programmed that...then I'd be impressed.

Fanta Shokata is a soda where their website had a promotion in which you subtitle a scene from a Indian (India not Native American) movie.
