Hi,
I saw this video clip on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tchthd5IV7c

The item I am intersted in is how to do the MECH as a gun but change the view of the camera so you are tall like a mech and in this video trailer.

I have the model that is in the trailer and you walk over to it and it changes to a gun which is cool but you are the same height etc.

Has anyone achieved this efect?

Best Regards

Solo

@SOLO DESIGN,

This should work for what you want. I've attached the script to this thread.

1.Place the script in your FPS Creator\Files\scriptbank\user\ directory. Then open FPS Creator.
2. On your map, make sure you are on level 5. Place a trigger zone.
3. In the trigger zone make the plrcamerahigh.fpi the main script.
4. Place your mech weapon in the center of the trigger zone then test it out.

There are 2 problems. The player cannot jump or crouch. I will be able to fix it with some fiddling around.

Let me know if it works out for you.

Hi Landman,
Thanks for the script but it does not do anything....

This is the script -

;Artificial Intelligence Script

;Header

desc = Plr In Zone

;Triggers

:plrwithinzone=0:setvar=$CPY 580

I followed your instructions but nothing happens.....

Try open the .fpi file and change the value from 580 to 630.

Also it should be :plrwithinzone=1:setvar=$CPY 630

Sorry Solo, it seems to only work with fpsc v 1.19 or 1.18.

Sorry about that.

Landman I got it working looks good, is there a way to deactivate the jump and crouch keys as pressing these even by mistake causes an issue.

I take it the 630 is the height factor and increasing this, decreasing will effect the Y axis

Many thanks!

Yeah sure.

Put this in a script:

:plrwithinzone=1:jumpkey=0,crouchkey=0

Great thanks Landman, I am sorry for these questions but I do not know all the scripting commands and I am more of a game designer and artist rather than a coder.

Like wise Solo Designer, I'm more of an artist but I design Dev mobile apps and websites for a living. The captain of scripting around these here parts of the Web is Corno_1.

Glad I could help.
