Hi guys,

With the release of Teach Yourself Game Programming for Windows and Android I am now beginning a new project called Teach Yourself DarkBASIC Classic. This book will follow the same structure as the previous book. It will take you through a series of primers designed to get your core knowledge up to speed, then introduce you to full game programming with a couple of examples.

i bought your other book for programming with the freedom engine and it was very well written indeed. (it's a shame they stopped work on it til next year )
the price was also very good. (under $10.00 dollars i think it was.)

so i look forward to this DBC book..... will it cover 2d or 3d?

ALSO. will there be a pdf version available? i got the kindle app for my pc but i have to be logged into my wife's account in order to use it.

I'm working to get ePub and PDF versions out to the public right now. Providing that it isn't ridiculously abused then the same will be done for the upcoming DarkBASIC version.

Because of the media content built into DarkBASIC I will probably go with a 3D example. I might even do both, until the final game example is provided I won't know for certain.
