Hello.

So, I've recently made a demo for my game (this one: http://www.indiedb.com/games/sem-sada-no-way-out).

In my computer it works pretty fine (Windows XP), it works pretty normal in other computers too, but, some people are complaining about my game not working on their computers. It doesn't give an error message, it just don't open.

Does someone can help me in that one? D:

Its most likey that they do not have 'DirectX 9.0' installed on there computers (If they are using Windows Vista or 7 or 8).

Good Luck

Sadly, that's not the problem.

I'm talking to 3 downloaders who had that problem, said that about the Dx9 already.

But it still not works. :/

Are the users trying to run the game from a CD\DVD\USB STICK?
Could this be the problem?

Have the users tried to 're-download' the game and test again?
It might just be a corrupted download.

The users with problems might have 'anti-virus' software blocking the exe from starting correctly.

Not sure if it is the case but their screen resolution might be too 'high' to run the game.

Any of those options options.

I THINK it can be my FPSC version that I've used to build the game (1.20 BETA).

I'll upload a alternative download using 1.19 and see what happens.

Thanks for the attention and help anyway Ross!!

Quick word of advice; don't use beta versions for game development.

By definition, beta versions are for testing, by using them for your game development, you're more likely to cause problems for yourself.

It's best to wait until 1.20 final is released. Or, as you say, use a previous version like 1.19...

Have you figured out what the issue is yet?
