I asked this exact same question on the Game Design boards...

Years ago, playing the somewhat nasty Duke Nukem, i realized that it might just be possible to have a superhero FPS. Between the shrinking, the freezing, the flying, and the "God-mode," I wondered...

So how flexible is the FPS creator? Would I be able to accomplish that? Assuredly some new scripts would have to be made for some things, but is that dream possible here, without literally reinventing my real life self and turning my home into a programming monastery?

And on that note, how many people here would be interested in such a project? If it's possible?

After my opinion: It is possible:
Godmod:
-plrsetimmune=1 make the player immune from damge
-plrsetimmune=0 make the player not immune from damage
Freezing:
also possible with a code like this
:plrfacing=10,keypressed=33 1:animate=1,etimerstart,state=100
:state=100,etimergreater=3000:state=0
Not knowing if this is so possible, but this is a hint how to
shrinking:
:keypressed=34 1:setvar=$CPY -10,entityaccmult=50
flying:
after my opinion, this is not possible without sourcecode modification. sry

Hope this help you

You can use the water and fill the entire level with it. Set the colors to 0 and you have somewhat simulated flying.

The biggest drawback is, you can't have "water" at the same time in your level.

Anyways, I think if you want to try something like this... waiting for Reloaded might be your best choice since "supposedly" bigger maps can be made with the engine. We will see.

Actually, you could have flying if you put the player on an invisible antigravity panel and had it move with the player in whatever direction they chose. Had that idea for a space-based shooter that I still have yet to put together.

Anyhow, I'm not sure if it would work or not, but it's worth mentioning that it MIGHT be possible this way.
