Hi,

I just installed Visual Studio 2008, Dark GDK, and Microsoft DirectX 9.0c SDK onto Win XP pro.

I created a new project and the project files are created EXCEPT the debug folder.

So when I attempt to run the project/program, I get this error;

Unable to start program 'c:\Documents and Settings\Todd\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\Dark GDK - Game1\Dark GDK\Debug\Dark GDK - Game1.exe

I've tried rebooting, repairing, and no luck. Anybody have any idea how to fix this? I need it for school.

Yes, I'm getting that error when trying to compile the standard program that loads when first creating a project. No exe gets created.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled in this order twice:

Studio 2008, Microsoft DirectX 9.0c SDK, Dark GDK. I get the wizard and the Dark, 2D, and 3D.

I'm at a loss what to do. I need it for class Tuesday.

did you just try to compile or did you try to rebuild the solution?
Try to rebuild the solution if you already didn't.

You could also create release and debug folders manualy
