Is it possible to add small thumbnail images to a file when exporting from DBP so you can preview them in explorer? It should look like the following, except that the files would have a different extension (probably ".omg")

its impossible..
unless its EXE or 1 of the image files.
if u want to expand the browser icons even greater, you have to create a driver for windows that will show it as thumbnail.

what file format are you intrested anyways?

It's my own map format. It's not an image, I'd just like to have an image as a thumbnail.

You'd need to write your own shell extension for Explorer.
