Just a quick question to ask if anyone out there knows if there are any half height segments and stairs available somewhere? I did a search and found a topic from quite a while back, but it seems the question was only answered by telling the person to model some of his own.

Now, I'm no modeler. And I am currently...faking it, I guess is the best way to put it...when it comes to what I need. But while it works for testing, it doesn't look right for a finished product.

Attached is a picture so you can see what I'm trying to do. You'll notice that the building is 3 stories high (basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor), and that the stairs start half-way up the basement level and lead to the door on the 1st floor. This is what I'm trying to accomplish.

I've got Dark City, and I've been playing around with the half ground and short stairs, but they don't work exactly. When using them, the stairs actually stop short of the bottom of the stairs. I'd at least like them to be to the bottom of the stairs, but no dice. I've decided, for the time being, that I'll use the metal stairs from Sci-Fi with the Dark City bumpy ground, but that just doesn't look right to me.

If anyone has any information on this, I'd appreciate it. Even if you can point me in the direction of where I can purchase said items, that would be wonderful.

You'll probably find it much easier to model (or have modeled) what you're trying to do, rather than set it up with segments.
That way you can get everything to the exact height you need it to, and still have it work, without having to depend on the predefined segment heights and levels in FPSC.

What you could do is use the "wall small" that comes with fpsc and if that doesn't fit the style of the game you could do a retexture.

@Bejas: I wish I could model. But I can't, so I'm kind of stuck. Which is why I asked if there was somebody who either knew where something was OR if they could point me to something I could purchase to pull this effect off.

@Tomahawk: You may have given me an idea on how to pull this off. I'll have to look and see what I've got for entities because you may have saved the day, my friend.
