Hi,

We have released an Android game called Horse Meat Inspector.

It's a free to play, topical game.

The product blurb;
Keep racehorses and pet ponies out of the burger production lines as you play as a meat inspector in this topical Android game.
Scan the burgers as they pass and if you spot one with a hint of horse then tap it to make sure it doesn’t end up in a kids school meal or on the shelf of a popular supermarket.
The management will allow the odd burger to get past you but fail three times and it’s game over and you’ll be sacked.
So come on and help preserve the country's beef credibility.
Will you be the best inspector?

It's topical at the moment in the UK: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-21046117

I worked with the TGC to develop the game. Its one of the reasons I've not done much work on Zombie Hangover 82 for a while. Here's a video of the game running.

Also here's a video of the first prototype that I built (my own programmer art!) and then moves to the final polished version.

This looks like a very fun gameplay concept. Good job! It's also interesting how much polished graphics can impact the end product.

Ha, a fun 'pick up and play' app... Well done!

Just so you are aware. the Editbox doesn't appear to show what I am typing (Samsung S3 2.3.3). I have to assume I have typed my name correctly... Also, I think you should make it abit more apparent when you lose a life, I know there is a 'buzz' but perhaps something more visual...

in Italy traces of horse meat have been found into IKEA swedish meatballs, lasagne, meat sauce and stuffed pasta. The problem is not the horse meat, that is good and rich in iron, but the doping substances used to fed the horse races, that may be dangerous for human health.
I know that in UK the sales of hamburger has fallen down tremendously.
The game is simple and funny. Some questions:
1) Has it been developed with 1.088?
With Editbox on my Samsung Gio I cannot enter my name, as @Funnell7. Do you 2) think to solve this bug?
3) Is the ad based on AdMob or Inneractive?

I've found something you might want to change/fix, when you tap a burger and it flies off the screen, it occasionally goes underneath some of the other burgers on the production line, which is very unrealistic.

There are 10 types of people, those who understand binary and those who don't

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Ill look into the Editbox bug. It seems to only effect some android devices and not the ones Im using. MarcoBruti what verison of Android does your phone have?

MissJoJo Ill fix that burger going underneath some when ever I get the Editbox bug sorted.

MarcoBruti This was developed using 1.088 and its using AdMob.

@RickV, just so you are aware, I've downloaded the update and the issue still persists (Samsung S2 2.3.3).

Seems like you may have to release an update with paw prints for dog meat soon. Did you see the report from BBC?

Yeah, and there was also a report today about an Indian curry which test came back as meat of unknown origin!

Funnell7 I've tried to bebug the textbug issue though Ive not made any progress on whats causing it. It seems to be an issues with Android 2.3.3. Earlier and later versions of Gingerbread run fine. Its also been tested to work fine on PC, all IOS devices and on PlayBook.

Its been submitted to the Apple App Store and it'll support all IOS devices.
