I'm sure a few people out there may make as much as these figures claim, but I'd sure like to know who's making $65k with an A+ cert

I earned my A+ without studying, so I wouldn't even vouch for the effectiveness of the certification. I am the least experienced tech in my company, but everyone else who has earned the A+ said it was a difficult cert... and I know a guy who read the study guides 4 times before finally passing the test... so if that tells you anything about the industry. Life isn't fair when the incompetent "experienced" guys make more than the naturally talented ones.

Also, I make nowhere near what those charts say I should.

I just came across the link when looking up CCNP testing. I used to teach A+ to kids but last time I looked at the test I'd say it's pretty worthless for anything more than a call center position.

lol, that's pretty bad!


The chart would be a lot more accurate if it stated the median age, and how many other certs the people might have. Cause chances are, if you're making $70k with A+, you probably have several others or been working somewhere for the past 10 years already. Cause johnny from highschool with A+ isn't going to make squat.
