Hey

I am kinda new to javascript and i am haveing trouble so I will post here.

I am trying to have this varible
var list="close";

I want it to change to "open" when you click on a link

like
document.write("games!!!!".link("hdhfjksh"));
I want it to change when i click this link thats what i want the most.

I did it with a function and its argument and it worked fine, but after i made the varible go to "open" the function would desapear and it would all go to normal html script and no more javascript would be on the page.

Please can some one help me
