I got a Corsair Hydro H55(in store for $55) and slapped it onto my i7-3770k.

I used CPUID to monitor the temps.

I increased the multiplier and I'm currently clocked at 4.2GHz. I've been running Prime95 blend test for 10 minutes now and my temps continue to slowly increase. At the moment, the 4 cores range from 60-65C.

Ok, so I forget the fan I used on the radiator is a manual 3-spd fan. That dropped temps down 5 degrees to about 55-60 with Prim95 now running for 25min with 100% load. So I guess that's not too bad really.

And 5min later, this is me after a reboot. Tried to up it to 4.5GHz and instant BSOD. I tried 4.3 and it was stable, 4.4 and BSOD again. CPU voltage is at 1.1, so I may just need to increase that to stabilize it. (did I mention I'm new to overclocking?)

Temps are getting close to 70 now but I increased the vcore to stabilize it at 4.7GHz (Still running Prim95).

I went for 4.8 at 1.33v, BSOD. I was hoping to reach 5GHz tonight, but I think I'll call it quits there.

After leaving it on overnight doing nothing at stock settings, I find the temps were about 32 with a max around 45. I'm not sure what might've been running during the night, but I expected lower temps when I woke up.
